The Corps of Engineers has an Interpretive Services and Outreach Program dedicated to educating people of all ages about the Corps’ history, missions and the natural environment that surrounds us. Programs also promote safety, encourage stewardship and help visitors relate to Corps sites.
Education and Outreach Natural resource professionals are available to conduct a variety of programs to schools, civic groups and local organizations. To find out what is available in your area contact the recreation area nearest you. Some sites have visitor centers open year-round, weekend campground programs in the evenings, eagle programs during the winter and water safety special events during the summer.
The Corps also partners with many other government agencies, civic groups and local organizations to host programs, special events and meetings that are open to the public.
