U.S. Army Corps of Engineers initiates Blue Roof Program

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is reviving its free Operation Blue Roof program to get as many houses into livable condition as possible during Hurricane Ida recovery. Operation Blue Roof is a priority mission managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for FEMA.

USACE Assessing Hurricane Ida Damages

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) subject matter experts (SME) are assessing damaged roofs in areas that were in the path of Hurricane Ida. These assessments are on behalf of the State of Louisiana and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Louisiana to inform decision makers prior to approving an Operation Blue Roof Temporary Roof mission.
