Lock 27 gets new miter gates
Massman construction, subcontractor for G&G Steel, lifts the new miter gates for Lock 27's main chamber from the laid down position to the standing position. G&G steel fabricated the gates. The gate weighs over 500,000 lbs with the turning feet and crane rigging attached.
