Construction Project Partnering in MVD

The Mississippi Valley Division has taken giant steps toward renewing excitement for partnering on construction projects. We are maximizing the likelihood of success by building relationships with our customers and contractors. These partnering relationships are based on open communications, trust and respect. The effort at the rebirth of partnering reached a major milestone in January 2000 when a partnership agreement was established between The Mississippi Valley Division (MVD) and The Associated General Contractors (AGC).

A joint Partnering Issue Resolution Committee remains active and stands ready to assist in developing and maintaining project partnerships. Current co-chairmen of this committee are Mr. Dan Fordice, Fordice Construction Company, Vicksburg, MS and Mr. Jim Hannon, Chief of the District Support Team, Vicksburg and Memphis, Mississippi Valley Division, Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg, MS.
