    Major General Diana M. Holland will transfer command of the Mississippi Valley Division (MVD), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), to Brigadier General Kimberly Peeples in a formal change of command ceremony July 12, at 10 a.m. at Engineer Research and Development Center’s, (ERDC) Information Technology Lab (ITL), located 1165 Porters Chapel Road (Building 8000) Vicksburg.

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will celebrate the reopening of its newly renovated visitor center at its Lake Ashtabula Dam and Recreation Area, as well as the site’s 70th anniversary, with a ribbon cutting ceremony May 18, at 11 a.m.
  • Corps continues to monitor its Mississippi River Headwaters reservoirs

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, continues to monitor water levels at its Mississippi River Headwaters reservoirs. The water levels in the reservoirs, except for Pokegama Lake, are below the summer target level, which is the level maintained for water supply, environmental and recreational benefits. All reservoirs are releasing the minimum flow. The Corps urges boaters to go slow and use caution in lower-than-normal lakes levels.

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, in partnership with Minnesota’s Ramsey County awarded a $14.7 million contract to LS Marine, Inc., of St. Paul, Minnesota, June 25, to restore habitat on Pigs Eye Lake, located in upper Pool 2 of the Mississippi River.
  • Corps of Engineers and Guttenberg Heritage Society to host ribbon cutting at lockmaster house

    The Guttenberg Heritage Society and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will celebrate the reopening of the historic lockmaster house at Lock and Dam 10 in Guttenberg, Iowa, with a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 6 at 3 p.m.

PAUL, Minn. –The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, awarded a $2.2 million contract to Tunheim Construction LLC of Fargo, North Dakota, to complete the Southern Embankment Reach SE-1 portion of the Fargo, North Dakota/Moorhead, Minnesota, Metropolitan Area Flood Risk Management Project.
