INSTRUCTIONS

The 1998 Flood Control and Navigation Maps, Mississippi River are available digitally for viewing, printing and downloading. The online viewing of Maps requires Acrobat Reader to be installed on your computer. The Acrobat Reader is freely available and may be downloaded from the link at the bottom of this page.

To View a Map

1. Go to the Index page.
2. If you know the River Mile of the Map you wish to view, select the appropriate Index. The River Mile of a location can be determined with the use of the Location Index.
3. Once on the correct Index sheet, the Maps may be viewed by selecting the desired Map with a single click or by selecting the desired Map No. from the text List. The Acrobat Reader will allow you to zoom in and out on the Map to see more detail.

To Print a Map

1. With the desired Map displayed, click the Printer button within the Map Frame.
2. The Print Window will appear.
3. Place a checkmark in the "Shrink to Fit" checkbox.
4. Press OK

To Download a Map

1. Determine the Map No. of the Map you wish to download.
2. Find the Map No. in the listing along the left side of the browser window.
3. Right click the mouse on the selected Map No.
4. Select the download location.

If you get the following error

Temporary Fix

Click the 'Acrobat Exchange' button on your task bar, this will bring up an empty Acrobat Exchange window. Exit Acrobat Exchange. Return to your browser window, 'Refresh' or 'Reload' the page.

Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view the Chart files. You can download the reader from www.adobe.com
